Throughout the fall, this small group will explore the book of Exodus with a particular emphasis on the Tabernacle and the Levitical priesthood and how an understanding of this helps us understand the language in the New Testament book of Hebrews. 

Maria leads one of our ladies' home groups on Tueday evenings. This fall the Tuesday evening ladies group will explore and dig deep into the book of Acts. This study will be rich! If you want to grow deeper in how to study Scripture and develop the skill set to dig deep in personal Bible study, don't miss this study. 

This small group will have two different emphases throughout the fall. Over the next six weeks, Robert will be teaching on discipleship, not just what it means, but what it means to be a follower of Christ in everyday life. Following the discipleship study, Robert will teach on the biblical basis for believers to understand and practice financial stewardship. 

At the beginning of 2026, Pastor Russell shared about an initiative called BLOCKS (Buidling Life on Christ's Kingdom and Sufficiency. On Wednesday evening he's addressing one the key blocks for building a life on Christ's kingdom and sufficiency; it's having the Mind of Christ. Jump in and learn how the win the daily battle over the mind of believers.

Napoleon leads the Sunday Small Group for the Spanish Ministry of First Baptist. This group currently focuses on a Biblical discipleship series that teaches on the basics of Christian life. These classes cover themes such as the fundamentals of the faith, the relationship between believers within the local church, the relationship between believers worldwide, stewardship, ministries, and how to interact and share the Gospel with the world.

On Sunday, October 4th, Dwayne will lead a study called Fully Devoted - "from First Steps to Fully Surrendered" written by the Kendrick brothers. This will be an excellent study for those who are looking for more teaching on what it means to be fully surrendered to Jesus. This will be an excellent class for new believers and families who are wanting to take their next step at First Baptist to get connected deeper with others and the church. 

Martha leads our Sunday morning ladies' group. Throughout the fall they will be studying II Kings and examining the life of the kings of Israel and Judah. In doing so, the study will shed light on the consequences of leadership that forgets the word and acts of the Lord. 

As we step from summer into the fall season this Sunday morning group will cover two key topics every follower of Christ ponders. For the first six weeks this class will learn "How God Speaks" today. Following this series of lessons, Vidal will lead his class through a series of lessons on "The Beauty of Forgiveness."

Jacob leads the midweek Bible study for the Spanish Ministry of First Baptist. These studies cover the entirety of the Gospel of John, going chapter by chapter to understand the fundamentals of our faith with biblical truths covering Salvation and the Gospel, the Divinity and Person of Christ, and the relationship between God and man via the Only Begotten Son of God: JESUS.
John 20:31- “But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name.

If you are a lady who is free on Thursday mornings, this group led by Hazel, with bonus support from Welta Lightfoot, is for you. The emphasis of this group is on Bible based studies, prayer, local ministry opportunities, and fellowship with each other. A special benefit of this morning group is the opportunity to enjoy an occasional lunch together after the meeting. The study of Ecclesiastes is next on the agenda after completing the current study of unnamed women of the Bible.
