Fall 2026 Adult groups and Adult studies.

I've noticed that when people get connected to a small group, they not only get to know one another, and study the Bible together, but they also get more anchored in their faith, they begin to look for what God is doing around them, and in particular, they are people that thrive in their faith!

Sunday Morning
Teacher, Dave Macomber

Throughout the fall, this small group will explore the book of Exodus with a particular emphasis on the Tabernacle and the Levitical priesthood and how an understanding of this helps us understand the language in the New Testament book of Hebrews.

Tuesday Evening
Teacher, Maria Reno

Maria leads one of our ladies' home groups on Tueday evenings. This fall the Tuesday evening ladies group will explore and dig deep into the book of Acts. This study will be rich! If you want to grow deeper in how to study Scripture and develop the skill set to dig deep in personal Bible study, don't miss this study.

Sunday Morning
Teacher, Robert Emfinger

This small group will have two different emphases throughout the fall. Over the next six weeks, Robert will be teaching on discipleship, not just what it means, but what it means to be a follower of Christ in everyday life. Following the discipleship study, Robert will teach on the biblical basis for believers to understand and practice financial stewardship.

Wednesday Evening
Teacher, Pastor Russell

At the beginning of 2026, Pastor Russell shared about an initiative called BLOCKS (Buidling Life on Christ's Kingdom and Sufficiency. On Wednesday evening he's addressing one the key blocks for building a life on Christ's kingdom and sufficiency; it's having the Mind of Christ. Jump in and learn how the win the daily battle over the mind of believers.

Sunday Morning
Teacher, Martha Macomber

Martha leads our Sunday morning ladies' group. Throughout the fall they will be studying II Kings and examining the life of the kings of Israel and Judah. In doing so, the study will shed light on the consequences of leadership that forgets the word and acts of the Lord.

Thursday Morning
Teacher, Hazel Saine

Hazel leads the Thursday morning group. If you are retired and looking for fellowship and an opportunity to serve at the nursing home, come be a part of the Thursday group.

Sunday Morning
Teacher, Vidal Jones

This group will spend the fall exploring the Bible.

Sunday Morning (starts October 4th 2026)
Teacher, Dwayne Baumgartner

On Sunday, October 4th, Dwayne will lead a study called Fully Devoted - "from First Steps to Fully Surrendered" written by the Kendrick brothers. This will be an excellent study for those who are looking for more teaching on what it means to be surrendered fully to Jesus. This will be an excellent class for new believers and families who are wanting to take their next step at First Baptist to get deeper connected.
