Pastor Russell and his family came to FBC Kemp in Oct. 2009, two months before graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. Although a native of Alabama, Russell and his wife Michele (also an alumnus of SWBTS) enjoy living in Texas. His heart beats for missions, evangelism, and quality ministry that exalts the Lord and enables others to grow in their relationship with Christ. His desire is to see the church simply be biblical. In doing so, others will come to know Christ, the church will mature in its faith, and the world around it and beyond will be changed. Gary was called to be our Worship Leader in January 2022. Gary has been a key part of the worship at First Baptist over the last two decades. For twenty-one years Gary served as a VP and IT manager at First National Bank Kemp. Gary is currently a partner with Anytime Building Services LLC. 

Robin’s love for children was demonstrated long ago as she began her career as a public-school teacher. After twenty-five years teaching intermediate grades with Kemp ISD, and a brief stint of retirement, Mrs. Robin joined our staff in 2016 with a vision for bringing boys and girls into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Grady serves as a Lay Minister and oversees our K1 Student Ministry. In addition to overseeing all things K1 Student Ministry, Grady has been the Plant Manager at Big City Crushed Concrete in Dallas for twenty-three years. His passion for our students and the greater community of Kemp to come to know Christ and live for Him is without question. While Grady's professional career takes him all over Texas, and at times across the USA, he loves to pour his time into Jr. High and High School students. Grady has served in this role since 2019. 

Diana is the better half of Grady. Diana joined the staff at FBC on March 2018 as our ministry and office coordinator. Diana brings a wealth of experience to First Baptist after having served as a manager of Dress Barn and owning and operating her own Florist that many locals will remember - The Flower Box. Diana's roots are deep in Kemp and the greater Cedar Creek Lake Area. Diana's passion for the Lord and serving the community was instilled by her parents who served the community all their life and held several local civil leadership positions throughout the years.

LeAnn has volunteered her time to serve as our financial officer since 2019. LeAnn currently is the Global Controller for Mercy Ships, a charitable organization in East Texas. LeAnn brings over twenty-six years of CPA experience in corporate, audit & tax environments in North Carolina and Texas. In addition to service to First Baptist Kemp, she enjoys spending time with your husband Gary and son Adam. She has a love for music and her favorite recreation is swimming. She also enjoys her very spoiled dogs Lacy and Sophie.
